Daily Telegraph - wedding announcement

We're famous!

Thanks to Doreen (the lovely mother of my husband-to-be) we made it in the Daily Telegraph - one of Britain's premiere newspapers. Rest assured this is not from the 1940's (check out the right side of the photo). Suffice to say I'm stoked about this fantastic little blurb, and even more stoked about our matching hats.
Love

Important-invites lost in the sea

Well, it's real live crying shame.

Invitations sent in a package to my Pops seem to have disappeared over the Atlantic Ocean. Some will blame volcanoes, others will blame Royal Mail or Canada Post. I on the other hand will blame David Guest.

Anyways, to all that are invitation-less, I will be creating a beautiful virtual invite ASAP.

Muchos Gracias,

Sarah & Richard

One year ago, on top of the world (almost) in the Langtang Himalayas, Nepal.

He asked. I said yes.

Flight of the Pigeons - Wedding Invitations

My tongue is raw and I'm high on glue from the dozens and dozens of wedding envelopes I sealed this afternoon.

I gathered my flock of loyal carrier pigeons, and then nimbly attached every single invitation to each of their necks with precision and care. The volcano in Iceland and the continuous "no-fly" area in all of the UK has reeked havoc on these tough little guys. And now, they embark on a long and arduous journey, across the Atlantic Ocean to Canada, over the England Channel to France, across the Indian Ocean to Australia and dodging traffic down the M1 to parts throughout England.

'Tis, though, a labour of love.

The wedding invitations are on enroute. You should be receiving them soon, though due to a volcano in Iceland, there may be some delays. No, really.

We can't wait to hear from you, and would love it if you could RSVP as soon as you possibly can.

Wedding List

Well, we're not your normal conventional couple, though I'm sure I didn't have to put that in writing, to state the obvious. That disclaimer aside if you want to give us a gift, we'll be putting out a list very shortly. We'll let you know asap.

Just to give you a head start...

Toasters, fondue sets, silverware, a set of fish knives, a 7-tiered chandelier, The George Foreman Grill, a microwave, doilies, toilet seat covers, or a heated towel rack is just not our kettle of fish.

-Richard & Sarah-

PS: A pleasant reminder that our gifts will also have to be brought back with us from Canada all the way back to Ol' Blighty.
